Dice are an integral part of the D&D experience. My favorite dice are a set of Smoke Crystal and Sapphire Crystal Gamescience dice. I've had them since the 1980's and they always seem to roll well. I also use some Chessex (now available at Wal-Mart...), and Wiz Dice Chessex makes some nice dice, but GameScience are more consistent and just seem (to me) to roll a bit better (i.e. more "randomy"). My "Carry Dice" (the once that are always in my backpack just in case a spontaneous RPG breaks out) are Ivory Chessex, and they roll fine. My experience with the Wiz Dice has also been very good. They are my "Work Dice" (I keep a set at work for rolling stuff during lunch to stay sane-ish). It seems like they are on line with Chessex, and I like them about the same. I also have some aluminum D6's, and they roll fine, but I dislike them in winter (they are cold as [fork]!) Both Wiz Dice and Chessex are made in China, while Gamescience are made buy a guy in the U.S. Another reason why I like GameScience; it's not a big company, it's just a dude with a passion. And haven't we all dreamed of making RPG dice for a living?

OK... I had a thought... If I had some silicone and some two-part resin, I could make my OWN dice.
Turns out a lot of other people have the same idea...

Dice Tower ► I think that falls under the "DICE" category...
I wanted a dice tower that stayed with my theme of tight-waddedness, and I also wanted to see if towers made any sense at all. So I made one out of an Amazon Box. It's not quite right, and I had to add some Popsicle sticks for strength, and it's pretty ugly, but it does actually work just fine. It was missing for a while, then it turned up with a sticker on the side claiming it as property of Anime Weekend Atlanta - so I guess they liked it.
I'll update this post with some d6 rolls.
By hand into a dice tray From a Backgammon cup into a dice tray Using the tower. MS Excel "=RANDBETWEEN()" command Dice rolling app
We'll see which is more random.
