The Basic Book lists seven character classes; Cleric, Fighter, Magic-User, Thief, Dwarf, Elf, Halfling.
The Rules Cyclopedia adds five more; Druid, Knight, Avenger, Paladin, and Mystic
Giampaolo Agosta has put together an inclusive list of all the character types available in BECMI at the Vaults of Pandias
And this is a handy list by Peter (also at Vaults of Pandias), that provides references to source material.
