Welcome to the BECMI D&D forum! I'm really glad you stopped by.
I have always thought that BECMI D&D was a really fun system. The Rules Cyclopedia, which is basically the BECM books and a bit of Gazetteer content rolled into one volume is also a great tome, but BECMI actually starts a first time player off with a tutorial dungeon that introduces the game in an enjoyable, step-by-step manner. I looked around for a dedicated place to talk BECMI, but all I found were forums that had a BECMI section. Normally sad, lonely sections without much going on.
I'm not someone who "hates" non-BECMI D&D. I have played AD&D 1e and 2e, dabbled in D&D 3e, 3.5e, 4e, and 5e - all great systems (except 4th really... probably a good game if it had not been called D&D), and enjoyed reading through the OD&D books (though I have yet to actually play it since there are no OD&Ders in my area). And I even think that all of those other forums have a lot to offer any D&D player, but BECMI is different enough that I really thought it needed it's own, dedicated space on the internet.
So here it is. the BECMI D&D FORUM.
As with any forum, we have a few rules
1. Try to keep posts BECMI/Cyclopdia related (although B/X is still "okay")
2. Necro-posting is encouraged
3. Don't be a jerk (that's what Facebook is for)
4. Real world politics and religion are no-go's (that's what Facebook is for)
