Almost everything from BECMI D&D is available via DriveThruRPG as pdf's at very reasonable prices. I find having EVERYTHING on my tablet is much more convenient than lugging around all my books. Also makes it easier to read at work. I have found these to be really nice scans, and it looks as though DriveThruRPG also has most (if not all) of the BECMI modules, Source Books, and Gazetteers in PDF format for $4.99 each (on average). First we have the individual BECMI books @ $4.99 each per PDF (the DM book and Players book are sold separately). This is all you need to get started. It will teach you the game and get your characters up to Level 3 After Level 3, you'll need this one. It adds some optional stuff, and takes you up to Level 14. Most players get tired of a character at about Level 10, so I don't use most of the content from them. There are additional advanced rules to pick and choose from though. And... This is all of the above in one fat book. It's well done, and has a lot of detail. $9.99 for PDF $24.99 for Soft Cover $25.99 for Hard Cover And you might need this... This is almost a must have. It has creatures not in the Basic or Expert books. It's well organized, has some nice art, and some really fun monsters. All for for $1.99!
NOTE: Prices may vary with the passage of time. This is why we need to go to the Electrum standard...

I bought several of these in PDF several years ago (I think). Must still have them around. Nice that it's all in one place. Not too long ago a published product like this, once out of print, would have gone the way of the dodo. Now, you can hop into a time machine very easily. Nice. Thanks for putting it all up in one place.

I have mixed feelings on the .pdf's. They are easy to carry and really easy to search for that one rule you never use, but NEED today. But they don't look great on your book shelf. I have both print and digital versions of RC, and Basic D&D, and digitals of ECMI and the Creature Catalogue. Still, money well spent.

I had the RC but someone "permanently borrowed" it while I was in the Army. I'm gonna get the POD version from Drivethru "soon".

I'm tempted but I've heard rumblings that the print isn't great. I've also heard that they updated the scan they now use so the print version is good to go. Any thougbhts?

I did get the POD Cyclopedia. The scan is fine on my copy, but the binding is a bit sketchy. It feels like it is going to fall apart after only a couple of years.
I actually find that i use the PDF more. I dropped it into my iPad, and have bookmarks and stuff. Makes finding that "one rule" much easier.

Yeah, I've pretty much accepted that the binding from DriveThru is hit or miss.
